A living art route through Centro.

In September, Circuito de Ateliês do Centro turns Rio’s historic centre into a living art route: 164 artists and 46 studios take part, galleries prepare special programmes and the city becomes a meeting place for contemporary Brazilian art. Fyodor will select only five artists and studios for this route.

  • 164 artists · 46 studios · 5 selected by Fyodor
  • Conversations about contemporary Brazilian art
  • Personal encounters inside working spaces

One afternoon / limited places

Around 164 artists and 46 studios take part in Circuito de Ateliês do Centro. Seeing everything is impossible — and unnecessary. MundiOCA therefore created its own route and invited Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich to lead it: an artist who has been connected to Brazil for many years and knows the local art scene not as an observer, but from within.

That is precisely what interests us most.

From the programme of Circuito de Ateliês do Centro, Fyodor will select only five artists and studios he considers important — and which we believe will be especially meaningful to share with our public.

We will not simply move from one point to another. We will look at Rio through an artist’s eyes: discuss what is happening in contemporary Brazilian art, why these works emerge here, the questions artists are concerned with today — and meet them in the spaces where the work is made.

This is a rare chance to step inside Rio’s artistic life at the moment Fyodor is in the city, and to spend a few hours together — listening not to a tour about art, but to an artist in conversation with artists.
